Peace, clear water and snacks at the lean-to

Jänisvaara's own sandy beach invites you to relax and unwind. The beach is shallow and child-friendly, and the farm's private beach area guarantees a peaceful atmosphere. There is a lean-to near the beach where you can grill sausages at the end of a day's hiking - or just sit and enjoy the scenery.

A cultural destination for the whole family!

The Koli Sculpture Park is one of the finest attractions in Koli. Lasse Martikainen founded the sculpture park on his homestead land, the area is about 1ha and there is something to see there for everyone from the youngest to the oldest in the family. An exciting labyrinth awaits the little adventurer. Take a day trip from Jänisvaara by cycling to the Sculpture Park, a distance of approx. 7 km.

Getting on the water with ease

The Jänisvaara cottages have rowing boats and a canoe for use, and each beach has its own boat. The beach is shallow and safe, so it's easy to get out on the water, even with children. Boating is perfect for an evening trip or a peaceful moment on the waves of Lake Pielinen.

Koli's national landscapes invite you to get moving

Koli offers something for everyone – hiking, nature experiences, cultural attractions and activities for the whole family. Even if you stay in Jänisvaara, you are only a short distance away from Koli's best activities. Take a look at what you can experience in Koli!

The course is located in Juuka, Taivaanpanko, Pykäläsuontie 68, 83950 Juuka. The course is a full-length 18-hole course and is challenging even for experienced golfers. The course was renovated in 2024 by volunteers.
